Project: 100 Square Feet

In a small tributary just of the Merced River in Yosemite National Park there is a section of river that goes through repeated cycles of freeze and thaw during the winter months.  The section of the river is slightly terraced.  Last winter I spent two days photographing in an area no larger than 100 square feet to find a wide variety of frozen interactions and changing states of water amongst the small, isolated pools.
